The 1,494-passenger Costa Europa joined Costa Cruises in April 2002 following a major refit. Several new and improved public rooms were added including the 450-seat Medusa Ballroom, the Delo Bar and the Squok Club for children. Upgrades were made to suites and the casino and crew spaces were improved. (Europa sailed formerly as the Westerdam for Holland America Line.)
